MCN Announces Co-Location of Mail and Web Servers to Santa Rosa |
11/6/2009: The MCN Server Co-Location is Coming on This Sunday, November 8th, 2009: On Sunday, November 8th, 2009 at 2:00 AM (websites) and 3:30 AM (other services). MCN will start the process of moving our servers to a data center in Santa Rosa. The move should be complete by noon on Sunday, although we hope to have it completed sooner.

MCN will be answering the phone (937-1444 or 800- and updating our voice mail message from the minute the servers leave the building and throughout the move process.

MCN as a business is NOT moving to Santa Rosa. Only MCN mail servers and web servers will be moved to Santa Rosa in early October. Other than a few hours of down time, there will no signficant impact for customers. Once the migration is complete, your e-mail addresses, domains, and websites will continue to function as they do now. You will not need to make any changes to your e-mail programs or other software. MCN will continue to be owned and operated by the Mendocino Unified School District. The MCN staff will continue to work at our office in the Mendocino office We will continue to be a locally owned business.
