Password Authentication in Vista's Windows Mail

1) Double click on the Windows Mail icon.


2) In the menu across the top of the window click on TOOLS
3) In the dropdown menu choose ACCOUNTS


4) An "Internet Accounts" window opens.

5) Under the "Mail" heading click once on your account name (i.e. Testy Account) to select it.

Then click on the PROPERTIES button to the right


6) Click on the SERVERS Tab


7) At the bottom of the screen CHECK the box before "My server requires authentication"


8) Click on the SETTINGS button

9) There should be a dot next to "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"

10) Click on the "OK" button in that window. And click "OK" in the next window.

11) On the next screen click on the CLOSE button in the bottom right


12) You're all done now. Great job!
