Checking the MCN Outgoing Mail Server and
Password Authentication in Mac Outlook Express 5
1) Open Outlook Express
2) In the top menu click on TOOLS
3) In the dropdown menu, at the bottom, click on ACCOUNTS
4) The "Edit Account" window will open
Click on the ACCOUNT SETTINGS tab
5) "SMTP Server" must be mail.mcn.org
At the bottom of the page click on the button "Click here for advanced sending options"
6) Check the box next to “SMTP server requires authentication”
There should also be a dot in the circle to the left of
“Use same settings as incoming mail server”
7) Close window by clicking teeny box in upper left corner of window
8) Click on OK button at the bottom of the page
