Checking the Outgoing Mail Server and
Password Authentication in Microsoft Outlook
1) Open Microsoft Outlook
2) Click on TOOLS
3) On the dropdown menu choose E-MAIL ACCOUNTS
4) Click on “View or change existing e-mail accounts”
5) Click on the NEXT button in the bottom right
6) You’ll get to the “E-mail Accounts” page.
7) Highlight your email account and then click on the CHANGE button to the right
"Outgoing Server (SMTP)" must be mail.mcn.org
8) Click on the MORE SETTINGS button in the bottom right
9) Click on the OUTGOING SERVER tab
10) Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
11) Click on the "OK" button
12) Click on the "NEXT>" button in the bottom right
13) Click on the "FINISH" button in the bottom right
